Add a local printer problem

I am trying to add a printer using the add a printer wizard. At the 'Local
or Network Printer' screen, the option of the two I need to select, 'Local
printer attached to this computer' is greyed out: can't be selected.

Does anyone know why, and what I can do to fix this?
