Add a field to View in Outlook

Has anyone ever successfully created a new view for a contact where you
can add a field. It seems that it does not work properly unless I use
the outlook schema, but if I use the outlook schema for the property it
will use that name etc..
Has anyone ever added a field in outlook via C# or VB.NET?

Yes, it should work fine in Outlook 2002 or later, using the View.XML property. Create the property first, then add it as a new column to the view. I haven't tried it yet in .NET, only in VB6.
