Add a computer

I am a complete novice and would appreciate any information on how to connect
two computers to the same broadband package. I am on aol 9 broadband platinum
with an external alcatel modem, using windows xp home (no sp2). My son has a
laptop upstairs and I would like him to also be able to access aol broadband
even when I'm not online without having yards of wiring hanging about the
house. I have been told I need a wireless router??? At the moment all he does
is access the phone line and use dial up when he really has to - yawn! I have
no idea - if you think it's beyond me I won't be offended Many thanks in

I recommend calling AOL and asking them -- they're the ones who know
their service the best.

Some AOL software and hardware uses non-standard technology that don't
work with normal Windows programs and networking equipment.
