Add 3rd party drivers to XP CD

I want to slipstream a NIC driver to my XP CD.

I have added folders $OEM$\$1\Drivers\NIC to my CD i386 folder and put my
NIC driver in there.
In my A:\winnt.sif I have added the lines: pnpdriverspath=drivers\NIC
and 'use PNPdrivers' can't remember exact syntax.

It errors out in the blue setup screen now error 3678 with the floppy disk
containing the winnt.sif file in the drive. The CD installs normally without
the disk in.
Am I doing something wrong?
Any ideas how to test without going all the way through the install?

You have some syntax errors which may be the cause of your problems.
