Remove the cookies and spyware and you will not need a popup blocker.
Popup blockers have been know to stop some webpages from opening.

Actually,

One of the most useful pop-up blockers I've seen is the Google toobar:

http://toolbar.google.com

In addition, to rid yourself of of Spyware, I suggest Ad-Aware and/or Spybot
Search & Destroy.

Finally, to avoid all of the above, you could use Mozilla Firefox as your
browser instead of IE. It isn't vulnerable to the types of spyware that IE
is and it has a built-in pop-up blocker.

Yeah, I like the Google toolbar too. I like how it shows the page ranks.
Like the other people suggested, I used the Panicware
(http://www.panicware.com/) for a while for the popups but I just switched
to the Super Ad Blocker (http://www.superadblocker.com/) and it works well,
it blocks banner ads in the pages too. I did not like Stopzilla too well.
It says it detects spyware and adware when you intall but it never found
anything-I think Spybot does it best and it is free too
