AD Password Change, Complex Passwords

B

Bummer

If I want to apply a GPO to enforce Complex passwords such
as Upper/lower case, numbers etc, will the change allow
users to change password if they do not meet the
requirement.

What I am afraid of is making the change for my entire
domain. And have thousands of users unable to logon
because they don't meet the requirment.

What I am hoping will happen is they will be prompted to
change it right then and there. Is that the case?

Will you be prompted to change the password, or are you
just locked out?

Thanks in advance.

test, test, and retest.

Why don't you create a test OU with a bogus user and apply
this policy to it. Log in as the user and test you
password/security definitions.

As for specific settings (lock out, password length, etc),
set them in the Account policy settings for the GPO and
test them out.

That is already in the works. I was hoping someone knew
the answer straight away.

Anyone?
