I would really appreciate clues on how to get a simple
wifi laptop to get its internet connection from a PC with
wifi usb adapter connected to wired adsl connection.

Have managed to so far:
*wireless connection going between laptop & pc
*have created a bridge from laptop to pc using networking
wizard on both machines (no bridge comes up in host pc
though)
*Both machines are set to share folders and connections

PROBLEM
*internet explorer on laptop asking for dial up
connection even though wifi connection and bridge running.
*neither machine is coming up in my network connections...

I'm trying the cheapest wifi solution i can find for my
house. Really need wifi laptop working and i'm soo close

Cheers in advance for all help

Thanks Steve, tried everything u mentioned, but still no
joy.

The only thinkg I can't get is "Enable Internet Connection
sharing. If it asks which connection to use for the home
network, tell it to use the wireless connection."
I don't seem to have this option on my desktop.

I have the firewall checkbox, but there's nothing below
it. I thought I'd got round this by running the home
network wizard which did ask me which connection I wanted
to use and I ticked wifi connection.

Any other tips ?

cheers.
