AD folder

Hello,

In what folder are AD kept on DC?
And does it have to be kept on system disk or could be anywhere on network?

The database file is named ntds.dit and can be found in \windows\ntds. But
it also needs info that's stored in the Sysvol share (GPO, scripts etc...)
and the logfiles.

You can move the active directory by going into Active
Directory Restore mode and using ntdsutil.
