Steve Gibson's site 'news.grc.com' has a group called
'grc.news.latestversions' which I check for updates to common programs (many
freeware); it's dedicated to only doing that, so you might check that once
in awhile (not every hour, tho )

Just a heads up. Steve's news is free, no passwords or any other stuff.
