Well actually it hasn't resolved my problem. It created one. hehe
This new Ad-Aware Ref File detects an Alexa object on the PC in:

Meanwhile, Alexa hasn't been within a country-mile of this PC in years. It
must be a fault in the Def File. I've seen numerous posts on this in the
Lavasoft forum today, but refused to believe it until I was able to do a
scan myself. :-\\
