Hi all,

I have successfully install AD and configure DNS.
Everything works ok, but after users logged to the
server i have noticed that in DNS zone users computer
registedred as host and their ip address. Is that the way
it should be or something i did configure wrong?

Thanks, Tim

That sounds right to me! Are you looking in the Forward
Lookup Zone? That is where you would find them. The
HEADERS should be NAME, then TYPE and then DATA. An
example would be NAME ( w2kpro3425 ), TYPE ( host ) and
DATA ( 192.168.10.154 ). If you are looking the Reverse
Lookup Zone then the HEADERS would be the same but the
NAMES and DATA entries would be reversed and the TYPE
would be PTR.

You should also have the four _ sub-folders as well,
right?

HTH,

Cary
