would like to use a forms2.0 frame control embedded on a
worksheet. problem is events for controls placed in frame
are not available. Has anyone found a workaround? I guess
in the meantime i'll reformat sheet with no frames.

Jim,

I just tried this, and I put 2 option buttons in the frame, and the events
were still available.

What exactly do you mean?

You took it out of design mode and this worked?

Normally this puts the frame on top of the option buttons since they are not
really on the frame.

yes, I took the activex from the OPs subject line. Re-reading it word by
word since you posted, it is not clear what the OP means as AFAIK there is
no activex frame

i went to controls toolbox then to more controls and
selected microsoft forms2.0 frame. After adding textboxes
and command buttons to the frame I went to veiw code in
sheet1 and only the frame was listed in the dropdown. I
could not access any events for the other controls I
placed on the frame. I realize the frame control isnt
really supported for use on a worksheet, was just hoping
to use it anyway. TIA

oops... i right clicked on frame and selected frame object
edit... I got the control toolbox you normally see with a
userform. it was from that toolbox i added the controls.
Sorry people, dont mean to be confusing... i learn best by
clicking on buttons and seeing what happens... lol! Like
i said i really dont need to use the frame... just easier
to hide a frame than create a collection of controls and
loop through hiding them.

As you said, it doesn't work on a worksheet. I suppose that is why it isn't
offered directly on the control toolbox toolbar.
