ActiveX EXE comparable .NET component??

I want to convert an ActiveX EXE project that runs as a
stande alone application with a main form that other COM
components can control but I don't see any comparable
project type for .NET and was wondering how this scenario
is handled in .NET using either C# or VB.NET Winforms?
