Active X error

Having a problem in powerpoint when we try to change the
design template from one design to another one that it
pops up with an error

Run-Time error 429
ActiveX component can't create object.

Any ideas on how to fix this would be much appreciated.

Hi Ryan,

What version of PowerPoint and where did the new design
template come from?

Can you create a new presentation from this design
template without getting the error?

If you're using a MAC and a design template has items from
the Control Toolbox in it, you're going to get this error
because the MAC doesn't support Active X objects.

If you're on a PC, have you installed all the Service
Packs for your version of PowerPoint?
