active-x control not working in access 2007

I have a database merged from access 2000 in 2007.
Many forms use different active-x controls.

When I open the form, I dont get any message, but the control doesnt work.
If I click on it in Form View, it gives me that message:

''Because of your security settings and current security policy, this
control is disabled. To modify your policy and enable your database, use the
message bar.''

Ok, first, that Message Bar DOESN'T appear at that time.
Second, I made some researches on MS help, and they say that when I go in
the Trust Center Settings, I should see in the left menu, a place to set
Active-X controls security settings. The problem is, I don't have that
option.

However I see Add-Ins, Macros, Message Bar(wich by the way is set to Show)
ect...

I'm obviously not looking at the right place. Please can someone give me
some ideas ?!?

Julie,

I don't know which version of 2007 you are using but I assume this should
all be the same.

You can find the trustcenter under the big Office button in the Ribbon.

So Click on the office button -> Access options (Bottom of screen) -> On the
next screen you should see just above "Resources" the option Trust Center (on
the left side of the screen.

Click on this once and then on the right side of the screen you'll see
(about halfway of the screen) a button which states: "Trust Center
settings..."

That shoul be the place to be.

That is where I went and I see all the other options of the trust center
except for Active-X.

my version is Microsoft Office Access 2007 (12.0.4518.1014) MSO
(12.0.6017.5000)

The particular active-X control I seem to have more problems with is
Microsoft Rich Textbox Control 6.0 (SP6). I can't even create a new one on
my form. It says it's not supported ?!?

The rich text box control has been modified in 2007. Maybe Alan Browne has
some additional info on his website about this....
