Ever since I have installed Windows Service Pack 2, I
have been having a
problem with the window I am currently working in
automatically deactivating
even while I am typingin the window. I have to click
back in to activate the
window again and continue typing. Does anyone have an
idea of what's going
on and how I can stop it?

Something else is 'stealing the focus' from the active window. The active
window loses focus when another window has the focus - but which window
could that be? It could be a virus or spyware that the author wrote in such
a way that its window appears outside the viewable area of your monitor - a
common trick.

To help find a solution, open task manager and keep it on top of all other
windows. When the window you are working in loses focus, immediately glance
over at task manager and look for a new process that has started. That new
process is stealing the focus.
