Active Tasks

In trying to customize my view of Tasks in 2003, I thought that Active Tasks meant tasks that were not completed. But all my completed tasks from the last couple of weeks are still visible (when I sort by category) although it's true they have a line through them to signify they've been completed. But I don't want to see them at all, and that's what I thought Active Tasks did.
Thanks for any Tasks-experienced advice.

My Active Tasks view in Outlook 2003 does not show completed tasks. Also,
you cannot sort on the Categories field, so maybe you've grouped on that
field instead. You can try resetting the view and see if that fixes it --
then reapply your customizations one at a time and see if one of them
"breaks" the filter hiding completed tasks.
