How does the concept of the Active Directory make Windows 2000 Server versatile for managing an enterprise network

This is a very big question, I think it's best you start reading some of the
info at www.microsoft.com/ad,
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/evaluation/news/analystreports/default.mspx
and
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/evaluation/demos/default.mspx.
Then post specific questions in this forum.
Just my 2 cents...

/Jimmy

I would suggest you do your own homework. Getting us to complete your school
assignments is not going to help you once you get out into the real world.

Andy.

As others have said, this sounds like a homework assignment so
start here:

AD is a hierarchical, multi-mastered, and extensible accounts database
which makes a clean distinction between intrasite and intersite replication
control -- offering extensive customization for controlling intersite
replication.

If you ensure that you understand each of those description adjectives
and understand the value of each, you will understand much of the
value of AD.
