I would like to know if there is an effective way of
using active directory to prevent users from using
Instant messenger and yahoo messenger when logging to
their computers.
I appreciate any input on this one.
Thanks.

Hi Cecilia-

A good way to prevent users from using MS Messenger is to implement Group
Policy. Also restricting user rights from having local admin priviliges is
another method. I'm not sure specifically how to control Yahoo messenger
other than not allowing users anything beyond default user priviliges.

Thanks
