We have an internet connection that has some problems and
have decided to stop our Active Directory service and
Domain Controller.
We have the only server on the domain lmk.vaslui.rdsnet.ro
and we want to shut it down.
The problem is, the server was initialy used for
educational puposes, as it held an oracle server for the
local network, and, when it was converted to a domain
controller, we forot to backup the data.
Now, because of certain financial problems, we must end
our contract with out internet provider.
I have tryed using the "dcpromo" command, but it says that
it failed to find a suitable domain controller, for the
domain that has been activated only a week ago(that is
when we installed the active directory service).
Can we at least rollback everything without using the
internet connection?
We still want to keep the educational service, and we only
have an administrator account enabled.
The ISP has given us only a few days to bring the server
down before they stop providing.
Please email me.
