Activation Wizard

I elected not to buy VISTA powerpoint, but have installed Powerpoint Reader.
Everytime I try to run a pps file, the "Activation Wizard" pops up.
I select "close";
The pps file then runs but without music, etc.
How do Iget rid of this "wizard"
I'm not going to buy PP or Acess

There's a Vista version of Windows. Sometimes PCs with Vista also come with a
trial version of PowerPoint 2007.

I'm guessing this is what you have. Does that sound about right?

It sounds as though you still have the trial version of PowerPonit installed,
and it's starting instead of the free Viewer when you launch the PPS file.

You'll probably want to uninstall the Trial version of Office. It might then
be necessary to reinstall the free viewer but that should sort the activation
wizard problem out.

This'll be hard to diagnose w/o PowerPoint. You might want to hang onto it a
little while longer. Start it up, open the PPS ... it'll open as a regular
PPT file.

Find the sound icon, click to select it.
Go to Sound Tools | Options | Sound Options group and click the little dingus
in the lower right corner of the Sound Options group. In the Information
section does it say that the sound file is included in the presentation or
does it give you the name of the file?

STEVE
I found the Powerpoint and Access files and deleted them.
Easier said than done; but no more Activation Wizard popups.
Thx for the suggestion !
