Activation Keys

Hello, I am having trouble activating my product. The key icon appears in my
system tray everyday and counting down. Everytime I click on the key icon a
blue window comes up with nothing more than the key graphic, no information
nothing. It is continuing to count down. It disappears after a while on its
own.
I wonder if a recent update of service pack 2 had something to do with it
because it didn't show up before that. I have activated this product months
ago and don't understand why it is to be activated again. I hear if it is not
activated it will lock you out of your computer. Is this correct?
I have tried the Microsoft email and chat support but everytime I request
this type of help it will try to retrieve some files from my computer and it
takes a lot longer than 10 minutes. Does anyone know what is going on or if
they have any suggestions? Thank you.

Hey there ... If you can't get it to activate by using the internet then try
calling microsoft in your area and you can activated on the phone

Get on the net and then go to
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows and
take 'Activate on the Internet now' (takes 20 seconds or so).

If that fails to show up, it may be a damaged reference: Start Run the
two lines
regsvr32 licdll.dll
regsvr32 regwizc.dll
and try again
