Activation for WinForms Application

I'm looking for a way to create my own activation for an application
that needs to be distributed to some customers. However the activation
should be based on the hd id where the application is installed. Is
there a built in way in the framework to
do something like that ? Any hints would be more than welcomed.

In this link you can find sample code for reading the hardware information
using WMI ( u can use it in .net )
You can try out more on WMI to read the HDD number which you can make use
for activating for your applicaiton.
