When I try to activate vista b2, it fails with this error:

"the data is invalid"

Anyone know what might be causing it and how I fix it ?

Could be a leaked copy - where did you get your copy of Vista from?

I don't have daemon tools installed.

This was an upgrade installation from XPSP2, I have uninstalled any virtual
cd apps in case that causes the same issue as daemon tools but still I get
the error..

I tried activation over the phone, but when asked for the long installation
id all I have displayed is:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

which is probably why it fails..

I have 1 day left to activate so guess I am gonna have to do a clean install
:-(

Yeh that sounds like the best thing to do - yikes :o( Sorry we couldn't
help.
