activating windows help!

i've just got a computer off a mate thats stuck in a loop on the login screen
cos they failed to activate it 4 some reason i can't get it past the login
screen whether i press yes or no to activate it. ive tried to delete wpa.dll
and the backup with no luck please help cos i dont wanna have to re-install it
