Activate Windows

I tried used the resotre feature today. When the computer came back up I
received the message that WindowsXP needed to be activated. Windows XP came
preinstalled on my Compaq. I was unable to reactivate over the internet.
Message received was that the key was invalid. I have the COA but the key is
no on it, or anywhere on the computer. I tried the phone call. I was told the
by the voice that the numbers I provided were not recognizable. Advised me to
contact the reseller. I purchased the computer new from a retail store. Can
someon please tell me how to get windows going again. Thank you BWYN.

To register by phone,you type in the numbers already texted in the window,
certainly it recognizes its own numbers,or maybe youre not useing it
correctly,
either way,after youre letters fail,you then get connected to a microsoft
registration
tech.Did that take place....Try 888 571 2048
