how can i activate the screen saver from a shortcut so that when a person
leaves their workstation the workstation is paswword protected?

What about just having them press ctrl + alt + del to lock their
workstation?

yes i thought of that, but i was really thinking of a one click thing to put
in the quick lauch area.

"Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]"

Put this line in the shortcut's 'Target'
%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation
