actions within a slide

Why do the rehearsal timings in each slide not come out as rehearsed? Ex. A
slide has 5 boxes of text that need to follow recorded media. When I play the
slide show the timings of some slides are way behind the rehearsal timing.

PowerPoint and exact timing should never be used in the same sentence. You
can get "close", but if you use a stop watch and run the presentation
several times you will see it never takes the same amount of time. Tis the
nature of the beast.
