Actions that control slides in other presentations

Is there a way to have actions in one presentation
control slides in another presentation?

For example, we are using multiple monitors and multiple
PowerPoint files. (1 PPT per monitor) We need a way to
assign an action in PPT 1/Monitor 1 to advance PPT
2/Monitor to slide n, etc.

thanks

I found that the hyperlink option works fine for opening
a PowerPoint file to a specific slide. HOWEVER, I can't
open another slide from the same PowerPoint..

Example,
PPT 1 has 2 links
- link to PPT 2/Slide 1
- link to PPT 2/Slide 2

I can click on 1 link, but the other never works. I
believe its because PPT1 sees that PPT2 is already opened
and can't advanced to the bookmark (slide).

This is kind of a weird solution, but if you can modify PPT2 you can do
this.

Simply select all the slides in your presentation and hide them. Then
insert a slide before slide 1. Modify this new slide so it is non-hidden,
black and auto-advances after 00:00 seconds. Copy it and paste it between
each of the slides in PPT2 and at the end of the presentation. In the
options, de-select the end on black screen option. Save this puppy as PPT2

Now, when you are in PPT1 and link to PPT2/Slide 6 it will display, any
slide advance will end the PPT2 show and return you back to the PPT1 show.
You can then link to PPT2/Slide 10.

Of course the slide numbers in PPT2 will be offset by the insertion of all
the blank black slides, but just take the original slide number and double
it and you'll get the new slide number in PPT2.

Not everything is what is appears, but appearance is everything.

Thanks for the message, but that doesn't seem to work
properly. When PPT2 is clicked to end the show, both
shows are ended. Since there are dual monitors, I need
PPT1 to always be open on Monitor 1 and the other monitor
to just show PowerPoint slides on hyperlinks/actions from
the PPT1.
