"Action Canceled" error message

Hi
I hope someone can help me. I keep gettting windows in IE with the message:

"Action Canceled, For information about offline browsing with Internet
Explorer, click the Help menu, and then click Contents and Index."

I have my security and privicy settings on "Medium", which I assume is the
default setting. Anything you can suggest would be appreciated. I'm
running IE6 under XP home, but had the same problem using ME and 98, so I
assume it's a result of a stupid setting change I made.

Maybe you can tell us what you're doing when you get the error and if you're
offline or not?

2 things to check.
It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS, reboot.

or if applicable.

No page to display or action cancelled.
