Action cancel in internet explorer 6

Hi,
I run win XP and internet explorer version 6
SP1....Sometimes when I try logging into some account I
get this message "action canceled"...I never experienced
this problem only lately...I did install adaware remover
and scanned and removed the bad cookies but I still have
problems with it. I tried reseting web folders
preferences deleted cookies temorary files...nothing..The
rest of the sites works fine...I ve asked my friend to
log in to same web site and it works fine for him...can
someone help me why do I get action canceled msg...

What websites? Run a full AV scan. Try running spybot (it catches things
adaware misses, and vice-versa). Google hijack this. They have a forum for
finding the cause of problems like this.

Thankx very much for replying to my msg...I did have some
spyware and removed them....I installed and scanned my
computer with spyremover, adawre, and newest update from
anitivrus 2004 software...still hasnt fixed the
problem...I notcied that some other users had similiar
problems and its got to do something with host files but
I am not sure how all that works since I am not an IT
expert....Anyway cut the chase I dont really want to
reinstall internet explorer 6 coz apparently as I found
out int embeded with xp... I did run live update on
microsoft site but said I was up todate...I seriously
dont know why microsoft didnt realease something in
regards to this problem coz it seems to be affecting only
xp users hence the ones havin IE version 6...
Anyone can help

PS I doubt its got to do anything with spyware stuff
since I have done all the possible scans...
I ll try searching google and forums with this problem I
hope they yield results
