I am making a presentations with action buttons to take you either forward or
backwards in the presentation. My back buttons are still moving you forward
throughthe presentation even though the action setting says pervious slide.
Help please.

My guess is that the buttons are not working at all, so a click just
registers as "move on to the next slide" just like it would if there were
no buttons. When you move the mouse over the button in Slide Show view,
does it change to a hand, or does it stay an arrow? If it stays an arrow,
it does not really have an action setting. Perhaps, you associated the
action (or a different action) with the text in the button, not the button
itself.

When you press the button can you see it depress?

If not there is probably something in front of the button, maybe something
transparent
