ACT 6 import into BCM fails

Hi

I have Outlook 2007 with BCM SP1 installed on a pc thats connected to a
SBS2008 server running a SQL2005 database. with all the lates patches and
updates as of Feb 2009.

When I start the import from ACT version 6, the system creates the .BCM file
ok and the starts the import from the .bcm file into BCM and the sql
database. it gets to about record 90 then fails with an error in the log that
a field isn't recognised or settable.

From what I understand this is because the import utility has taken dates
from ACT and converted them to USA format dates (I'm in the UK) with UK date
formats.

When I look at the record 90 the date is the 28 May 2006 which is shown as
05/28/06, I suppse the system thinks there aren't 28 months in a year.

Does anyone know of a work around for this or have a utility to change date
formats in the bcm file or something else please.

Regards
Jerry

It could be that the BCM installed on your machine is configured for
the USA, and switching it to UK will solve the problem, or perhaps the
ACT! import module is hardwired to only work with USA ACT!.
Technically, ACT! and QB import are features of the USA version of
BCM. Ask the UK branch of Microsoft for help.
