Acrobat 7 changed ruler & Tools

I installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and my Word ruler changed from inches to
points. Formatting inserted pictures is also now in points.
To make matters worse, Tools is still on the Menu bar, but nothing happens
when I click on it - no drop down box.
I use Windows XP Home Edition & Word 2000 SR-1
