accounts and their paths?

I have XP Pro and I wanna know where and how can I change or check the
path/folder for my user account. For example MyUser should have the folder in
C:\Documents and settings\MyUser\ but the folder was corrupt before and Win
made new folder C:\Documents and settings\MyUser.COMPUTERNAME\ and
automatically logged on with that. Now I have repaired the old folder but
can't find where to set this to be THE folder for MyUser. (When I log on with
MyUser it still reads data from \MyUser.COMPUTERNAME\, I even tried to delete
it but it created it again the next time). So I would appreciate if you could
tell me where to change it so it loads data from /MyUser/ again.

The environment variable %USERPROFILE% has this address. XP gets
environment variables from the registry.
I suspect that accomplishing your task is not going to be especially easy.
Perhaps someone else can help though.
