Hi Carey

I look at your link nothing seem to correct my problem.

The nearest thing i found is in the add remove program an entry
saying....Microsoft office small buisness connectivity components.

One other solution was for .netFX 2.0. I try to launch the .net installation
that come with Account express 2009 and i receive a message saying not
compatible with a 64 bits system?

I found a X64 distribution i guess i will have to install this? But i see no
indication that account express can run with this verssion

If you have another proposal i will take it...

Run Windows Update to get all of the correct NET Framework updates. When you
have them all, try installing Accounting Express again. It is definitely
credited with being 64bit compatible..

Thanks Mike

Windows update is done but the .netFX2.0 - 64bits does not install by
itself, i will download it and install manually.

Will give feedback on this one...

Sorry forget to ask

Should i install .net framework x86 or x64, from the microsoft page it is
not clear?

Should i follow my application "account expess 32 bits" or follow my
operationg system "Vista 64 bits"?

sound simple but confusing at the same time..

Uninstall all of the net framework stuff and then go for the updates again.
Use the cleanup tool on this blog..

Mike

I have done the clean up and nothing has change

The accounting process stop early at the beginning

I check more closely the log even if this seem like chinese and found this
in the log.

Error 1609.An error occurred while applying security settings. Authenticated
Users is not a valid user or group. This could be a problem with the
package, or a problem connecting to a domain controller on the network.
Check your network connection and click Retry, or Cancel to end the install.
Unable to locate the user's SID, system error 1332

Since i am the only user on the machine any idea of what i could do to avoid
this, I found this about half way in the log so may be it is not relate to
my problem.

Then further down the log i found this

Property(S): ISSCRIPT_VERSION_MISSING = The InstallScript engine is missing
from this machine. If available, please run ISScript.msi, or contact your
support personnel for further assistance.
Property(S): ISSCRIPT_VERSION_OLD = The InstallScript engine on this machine
is older than the version required to run this setup. If available, please
install the latest version of ISScript.msi, or contact your support
personnel for further assistance.

Any suggestion will be welcome

Have you borrowed the installation CD from somebody?

No, all installation package are original no copy

I have a brand new machine from HP TX2 touchsmart ( about one month old)

Accouting express was download from micosoft site.

yesterday i receive my copy of outlook BCM and was able to install without
any flaw. I was ask if i want to link to an accounting program, follow the
link and i end up at the same page where i first download accouting express,
so it should be the same installation file.

There may be a problem with the download you made. Was it an downloadable
exe file or an ISO image.

If it was an ISO, what are you using to make it into usable installation
media, and how fast are you burning it?
