accounting app

Hi all,

I am writing an insurance program that needs to have a simple accounting
feature. Cashbook, Jounal, Ledger, Income Statement, Balance sheet. I do not
have the time and enough acounting knowledge to write one from scratch.
Can anyone suggest a library that I can use to interface with my app.
Preferbably have the source, because I might need to change some thing
sligtly for the insurance app. Because this is a cost to myself, I need tp
be carefull with my budget. SO it does not have to be a fully fledged
accounting system.

how about evaluating some of the standard applications available in
the market, insted of writing it from scrach using the libraries???
