Account setup changing

M

Mark A. Sam

Hello,

I had this problem a few years ago and don't recall how I resolved it.
Whenever I reboot, the setting on one of my accounts gets goofed up.

The username gets changes from:

(e-mail address removed)

to

(e-mail address removed)/pop3.myDomain.org

and the Incoming Mail Server (Pop3) setting get changed to

Localhost

Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening?

Thank you and God Bless,

Mark A. Sam

This is usually an anti-virus (or Anti-Spam) software issue. It changes the
POP3 server name to "localhost", "127.0.0.1", or "pop3.norton.antivirus" in
order to scan the e-mail as it downloads. If this prevents you from
downloading mail, then the anti-virus software is malfunctioning. Check
with the anti-virus software manufacturer for update or configuration help,
or disable the anti-virus software from scanning e-mail.

Thank you Hal. It likely is the Anti-Virus. I just recenlty switched from
Norton's to Trend Micro and this just began to occur.

God Bless,

Mark
