Hi In 2003 Outlook is there a way to temporarily switch off Outlook check
certain email accounts?

Yes, you can use the dropdown arrow to right of Send-Receive for a one shot
skip, or you can set up Groups by using the dropdown arrow, Send Receive
Settings.
