Accesss 2003 mailing labels exported to Word format problem

I have a mailing label report that works fine when printed straight out of
access onto standard Avery 5160 30 labels/sheet format. However my client
needs to send these labels via email to another office, and when they export
the labels into MS Word as a .rtf document to email them, the format gets
off. It's still 30 labels per page but the vertical alignment gets off as it
goes down the page and doesn't fit on the labels correctly. They need to
email them in a format the other office can just receive the Word file and
print them straight out. What's the way to do this? Thanks.

You really can't. Instead, build the labels in Word and use the mail merge
feature to populate the lables with the data from Access. Then, the
document can be saved as a new document (with the data in it) and shared
with others.

The only way to preserve the Access report is to send it as a snapshort
format, or a PDF format.

Do they need to be able to edit the labels...or do they just care about
printing them?

Why not consider using pdf format?

You can get a great free pdf maker here:

It is absolutely Free,

And free means no watermarks, no nag screens, no annoying Popup
advertisements, no time limits etc.

It is also very fast, and works very well. I highly recommend it.

I use cutePDF and it does exactly what it needs to do with no problems in
the year or so since I downloaded it. I agree with Albert that it is a
great little free product!

Thanks Rick - I'm going with the snapshot format which keeps everything
simple and not as bulky as .pdf.
