My start menu does not have an accessories folder. It had
one 6 months ago when I last used it. Does anyone know
how to reinstall it?

Go to the start button and go to settings and control
panel. once in control panel go to add/remove programs.
on the left hand side you will see add/remove windoes
components. click add and make sure that the check box
for accessories is checked and select ok
