Accessing Secure Pages

IE 6.0 - I'm not able to get to the logon screen for a Web site I need to
use. My browser will not switch from http:// to https:// and I get a generic
page can not be displayed error. My privacy setting is Medium. What should
I try?

I have same problem with https:// -- but not all of them. I am also blocked
from going to what I would consider normal pages. This started happening
early this week. I've spent two hours looking for solutions. I turned off
my Spy Sweeper and no change.

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443.
Go to Start | Run and enter these commans (press <Enter after each one).
