Accessing/saving GIF's in an HTML message

C

Conan Kelly

Hello all,

Someone sent me an HTML message with an animated GIF in it that I would like
to save in My Documents.

If I do File>Save As... and then try to save it as an HTML type, when I open
it up in IE, I get the info bar at the top saying:

"To help protect your security, IE has restricted this file from showing
active content that could access your computer. Click here for options..."

I click it, click "Allow Blocked Content...", and click "Yes" at the
Security Warning. All the pix and the GIF in the email are blank white
boxes with the red X in the top left corner.

When I have the message open and right-click the message body and choose
View Source, I scroll down to the location of the GIF, find the file name
for the GIF in <IMG .... src="filename.ext"...>. I searched my Local HD C:
for this file name, including system folders, hidden files & folders, and
subfolders. WinExplorer could not find the file.

How can I save this GIF to my HD.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide,

Conan Kelly

K Orland,

Thank you for your feed back, but when I do that, the only choice in the
"Save as type:" box is BMP.

Thanks again for all of your help,

Conan
