Accessing Printer Setup Window with full menus disabled?

Hi,

I'm creating an Access 97 database in which I want the "Allow Full Menus"
command under startup to be disabled. My problem is when it is disabled and
I preview any report, the printing options under the "File" menu are removed.
Only the print icon is left, but that icon automatically prints to the
default printer without allowing for any printing choices such as specifying
a printer, etc. This must be simple question, but I have been unable to find
a way to have "Allow Full Menus" off but still be able to access the Printer
Setup/Selection window when viewing reports. Any advice/info on how to get
around this would be very appreciated. Thank you,
Eric

Create a custom menu, instead of using the built in menus.

But you can also just use [ctrl][p] - and there isn't
even a way to really disconnect that.

Hi,

Thank you for the input. I have tried making custom menus and custom
toolbars every way imaginable, but even when I put the standard print
functions into a new custom made menu, they dissapear from the menu when I
open a report. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not as it doesn't seem it
should work this way. The ctrl+p shortcut does work, but I also wanted to
have the menu option remain for the less computer savvy user (there will be
over 30 end users) who might not remember the ctrl+p shortcut. Any ideas on
why this is happening for my custom menu bars as well?

All of those standard menu items enable and disable
automatically, but the print menu items should be
enabled while you have a report open in preview mode.

Have you looked to see if there is anything odd about
the print setup of your reports?

If I turn off 'Allow Full Menu's', the print menu items
disappear from the built-in 'Database' menu (which
includes the 'file' menu item). But they are still
on my 'Custom' menu, (where I have placed them under
my own 'file' menu item), and they are not disabled.

A97 and A2000.
