I have access to download zip files from a clients website. The IT department gave me a new computer. I now have major problems getting into the site, and downloading the zips. IT has no clue how to fix it. I know it is the computer because I uploaded the certificate to my home computer and had no problem getting in.

They way it is supposed to work is: I follow a link in an email, it takes me to a login page, it then is supposed to take me to another login page. Instead I get a garbage page. I have to click the link again and it then takes me to the 2nd login page because I have already gone through the first one. It then takes me to the specific file I need. When I click the zip link, instead of giving me the option of where I want to save the file, it automatically goes to the temp directory and when it finishes, it opens the zip file. Unfortunately the files opens empty

What I have to do is go to their the old website (don't know how much longer it will be available). I still have the problem logging in, and it still automatically takes me to the temp directory and opens the zip, but this time the zip file has files, and I then save it to where I want

Does anyone know what settings are messed up on this computer and how to fix it??????

Thanks a million

I have the same problem, zip files open in temp folders instead of giving me the option to save.
I must have hit something like "never ask me this again", I really need to undo that so I can save zip files for later.
If anyone can tell me how, email me please.

You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zi
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Type
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm ope
after download" bo

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operatin
system. It may be
Explorer-View-Folder Option
Explorer-Tools-Folder Option
Start-Settings-Folder Option
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options
