After using my new computer (XP) for a few weeks,
the 'limited' accounts I set up for my kids started
giving them problems.
Once they would log on and try to access most
applications, they would get a Runtime Visual C++ error
message. Details in the error log show:
"server did not register with DCOM within the required
timeout"
When I switch their accounts from a 'limited' level to
an 'admistrator' level, no problems are encountered.
I would like to keep their account profile 'limited' but
I do not know how to fix this problem.
I have not yet tried 'system restore'. The problem
started for them a few weeks ago, I don't remember the
date.
If anyone out there can help, Thanks.
