Access XP Crashes at Query Run

I have Microsoft Office XP SP3 installed on a PC. It works great except for
when I'm attempting to run one query in Access XP. This is a query that is
based on imported data from Excel 2000. The query was also built from Access
2000 (Office XP is a new upgrade for this PC).

The query works fine from PCs running Access 2000, but causes Access XP to
crash with no warning. (the application just closes completely and gives no
error message)

Can anyone provide information on this problem? Is there an application log
I can check? Again, other queries work fine but this query crashes the whole
app. Thanks in advance for your help!

Can you post the SQL statement for this query? Does this query include several nested IIF
statements?

Also, what version of the JET service pack do you have installed?

I seem to have this same problem. The name of a query was changed and then
changed back -- it is the source query for several others. Now, that query
nor the ones that use it as source may be run or re-designed. The queries do
work on other machines with Access 2002.

I have Office XP Pro, SP3 and MS Jet 4.0.8618.0, and Win XP, SP2.

So, how do find what is broken on machine?

Most likely you're being bitten by the Name AutoCorrect bug. It causes all
kinds of strange crashes, especially with queries.

Go to database window... then Tools | Options | General tab. Deselect Name
AutoCorrect.

Yes, that fixed the problem! Thanks!
