Access Word docs from 1995

Does anyone know if it's possible to open/access/work with documents that
were created in 1995 or there abouts? Could it be done in Word 03? I don't
think it works well in Word 07. What was the version in 95?

You should be able to open them in either version, but not without a little
fiddling with the Registry. See “Information about certain file types that
are blocked after you install Office 2003 Service Pack 3†at

I really need this information for opening Word 95 docs in Word 07. We must
be able to do this. (Sorry, my question was a bit misleading.)
