When I try to open my access application I get the following error:

"The Microsoft Jet engine stopped the process because you and another user
are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

This does not make sense because this application is not on a network and I
am the only person trying to open it. Is it possible to fix this so I can
open my application (Access 2003 WinXP Pro)?

Thx

There may be other issues, but start by looking to see if you find a
file called YOURFILENAME.LDB (locking database) and if so delete it. Have
you ever turned off your computer or had a power outage while that
application was open?

No, there is no .ldb file anywhere on my system.
It's possible that the file was open when the system crashed one time. But
I still get that message even when I try to repair and compact the database.
