Access Trust Center Function

I have an Access 2007 database that is located in a trusted folder. Some of
the features of Access are not available - primarily the ability to use a
control box to search for records. That option does not appear in the wizard.

The Setwarnings and SetValue options for macros are also not available - as
I am sure other options aren't either.

I found a recommendation to change the registry, but the registry location
does not exist on my computer.

Any suggestions?

Hmm, I don't get the first part of your question. What is the controlbox you
are talking about? Can you provide us with some more detail.. Are you looking
for the option where the combobox searches the record for you?

For the second part the macro section. Click the button "Show all Actions"
in the Design ribbon when you are creating the macro. Then take a look again
at the actions dropdown and all the options you are looking for will be
there...

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I want to have a combo box that searches for a
record. The instructions say that the wizard should display 3 options - look
up the values in a table, type in the values, or find a record on my form
based on the value I selected. The 3rd option does not appear in the wizard.

The database is in a trusted location and I tried the option of allowing all
macros (Trust Center) which did not work. I tried a different computer (also
a trusted location) and it did not work there, either. However, in another
database on that computer it does work - that is, the 3rd option was
displayed.

I later found the "Show All Actions" button in an earlier post and that
works. Thanks for that.

Thanks for any help.
